HOTEL E-BIKE RENTAL was founded and is operated by Troy Kerns, a long time outdoor recreation and rental operator with more than 17 years of experience building and managing large asset intensive businesses in highly regulated environments.
Troy started his first rental company in 2008 with a pickup and six ATV's and grew it into one of the largest Polaris Adventure Program in the United States.
Over time, the Business expanded to a fleet of more then 50 Polaris RZR 1000 cc Razors, 10 Rubicon Jeeps, and Harley Davidson Motorcycles, supporting 30 plus employees at peak operations. For three consecutive years, Estes Park ATV Rental was the #1 rental operator in the Polaris National Rental network and was the largest rental operator in Colorado for ten years straight. Estes Park AVT Rental also won The Trip Adviser, Travelers Choice Award from 2013 to 2022. He sold Estes Park ATV Rentals to his competitor in the fall of 2022.
Operating at that scale required daily coordination with the U.S Forest Service, EPA, Boulder Country Zoning and Road Dept. and multiple Federal, State and Local Agencies. So compliance, insurance, permitting, land use restrictions and public safety oversight were core parts of the business.
From 2022 to 2025 Troy also owned and operated a jet ski and parasailing business call Princara Watersports in Mexico. Running a fleet of 12 jet skis and a parasailing boat out of Bahia Principe, one of the largest resort properties on Yucatan Peninsula, near Tulum. The operation worked directly with resort management and maintained full compliance with Mexican Federal, State, and Local regulations, as well as hotel operational standards. The business was very successfully operated and sold in September of 2025.
Across both U.S and International Markets (Mexico), Troy's experience includes fleet management, staffing, insurance, risk mitigation, guest safety and close coordination with federal, state and local agencies.
